© Copyright Phoenix Computers
Phoenix ComputersSM is not able to offer computers directly to the public. Our licensing
agreement with Microsoft requires that we work through other non profit organizations
or government agencies which refer their clients to us to obtain a computer. So, if you
want to obtain a computer from Phoenix you will need a referral from either of these
organizations. For a list of a few of the organizations that we partner with click here
to see if you are already working with one. If you are, then all you have to do is
speak to them about getting a referral. If they are not listed, have them give us a call
and we can let them know how to make a referral.
Once you have obtained your referral all you have to do is to bring it in on the days that
we are open to obtain your desktop computer.
If you are not working with a case manager or social worker but you are receiving SSDI
benefits then just bring a copy of your SSA (Social Security Administration) award letter
or a form letter from a government welfare agency stating that you are low income.
Appointments are not necessary to pick up your computer. The basic computer
bundle with Windows 7, includes the computer itself (which comes in many shapes
and sizes), a CRT monitor, keyboard and mouse is priced at $25. A bundle is also available
with Windows XP as the operating system but be aware that Microsoft support for Windows
XP will cease in April 2014.
We are only able to accept cash as payment.
Notebook or laptop computers are generally not available at this time.
Since we refurbish many different types of computers your selection will be made from
the computers that are on the shelf at the front desk. CRT monitors will vary in size,
based on what is available at the time. We also have flat screen (LCD) monitors available
and they are an additional fee, from $20-$35, based on the screen size and whether
speakers are built into the monitor. In addition, we usually have color inkjet or black
and white laser jet printers. All inkjet printers come with full ink cartridges. The
price varies with the particular printer, but typically ranges from $15-$25.
